From the Pastor
Dearly beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you in the name of Jesus, the Son of God. I would like to share specially three blessings from heaven to mankind, which came due to the birth of Christ.
- UNIVERSAL MESSAGE
There are different kinds of announcements. Some might make men sad and some might make them happy. (For example: Tax enforcement, Reservation system, Hike in salary, Bonus etc.) All of them might not benefit due to these announcements. Some might be included and some will be rejected.
The “Exclusivist” theory or philosophy propounds the ideas of “We”, “Our”, “Us”, “Ourselves”. But in the history of the human world, the first good news for EVERY ONE is the one that was announced by the angels to the shepherds, 2015 years ago, which goes on like this “ Fear not, I bring you good tidings for ALL people…..” (Luke 2:10). So it is appropriate that we, who have received and blessed by this good news, the birth of the Savior, must have the concern for others who still have not heard of this good news.
- UNIVERSAL DELIVERANCE
The purpose of Jesus Christ coming into this world is in His name itself – Jesus –the Saviour. One who would deliver people from all their sins (Matt 1 : 21). Bondage and slavery is an abomination in the sight of God. It is amazing to realize when Israelites were like slaves in Egypt for 430 years, the good Lord, heard their cry and prepares meticulously to release His people from the bondage.
Today we can see that certain countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan are in the clutches of terrorist organizations like ISIS and so on politically. In North India, some of the religious fanatics physically harass and harm the minority community. It is also the bitter truth that feelings of selfishness, enmity and filthy thoughts pollute our mind and enslave us mentally. All those who accept Jesus will come liberated from these types of bondage from sins. Let is raise our voice and proclaim this message of deliverance to the whole world!
- UNIVERSAL PEACE
The word “PEACE” is not something which is experienced by the people of the world only in their imaginations. Peace is a divine experience even in the midst of trials and temptations, difficulties and challenges. PEACE is not the absence of trials, but the presence of CHRIST.
Now-a-days child abuse and sexual abuse, violence in the name of caste or religion or language, enmity in the homes and community are an everyday affair.
For the people who live in the midst of all these crisis, there is only one way – accepting Jesus. The word of God says that he is the PRINCE OF PEACE (Isaiah 9:6). If we need Peace to rule in our hearts and mind, we need to accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Let us renew our mind everyday with this thought and let us also lead others to Christ in this experience.
Yours in His work,
REV. RAJAN DEVAKUMAR,
